Today, the CMMC-AB announced that it has changed its name to the CyberAB. The organization is responsible for the roll-out of the infrastructure for DoD’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). This change comes as CMMC nears completion and businesses look to get certified under the new program. The DFARS has been updated to require businesses to get CMMC certified in order to do business with the DoD. The CMMC-AB has been working hard to ensure that businesses can get certified and that the process is as smooth as possible. The name change is just one of the many changes that the organization has undergone in recent months after years of scandals and accusations of corruption. Earlier this year, they changed their logo and released a new website. The CyberAB will continue to work hard to support businesses as they transition to CMMC certification.
